On April 18, 1945, a balloon bomb made its way all the way from Japan to Omaha where it exploded in the air. The bomb caused no damage, but the site has gone down in history as the only place in Nebraska to be bombed by enemies in the war. The site is what is now Dundee, Omaha. Logged at least one mile on April 18, 2022.
